Mordecai couldn’t think of a better way to end the summer. He didn’t know why or care about how he got to this situation, he just thanked his lucky stars that Margaret’s apartment flooded.
They were having the time of their lives. They laughed and joked and did everything that couples do at campfires. But every time Mordecai thought of the word Couple he had to remind himself that when her apartment was fixed, this would all go back to normal. Back to the way things were. That thought alone made his smile falter.
“Seriously Pops!” Mordecai laughed. “Stop eating all the marshmallows!”
The gang looked at Pops, who was tangled strings of gooey marshmallow spreading from his hands to his face. “Ohoho! But their just SO GOOD!” He cackled like a mad man with a beard of marshmallow. The whole campfire erupted in laughter.
“Seriously dude! If I looked like that, they’d call me Marshmallow Man!” Muscle Man roared, causing a second deafening outburst of laughter.
Suddenly, after the laughter had died down, there was a rustling in the bushes. All heads turned towards the bushes and everyone was quiet. The sound moved closer. Then it became quiet.
“What the butts?” Muscle Man peered at the bushes uneasily.
“What was that!?” Benson said.
Pops covered his eyes as the rustling came again, but louder. “Ooooh… Scary show…” He muttered.
“M-Mordecai?” Margaret clutched his arm tightly, as they all stared in fear at the foliage.
“It’s p-probably just an animal,” Mordecai offered.
“Doesn’t sound like any animal I’ve ever heard,” Skips said unhelpfully.
Then the rustling was the loudest it had ever been, approaching the campfire at blazing speeds. The friends all held onto each other in terror and anticipation. All of a sudden, a huge cloaked figure burst from the bushes with a hook for a hand. He was broad and demeaning; Mordecai had never seen anything like it. He raised his arms as if he were a great big bear. He roared at the crowd as they all screamed. The group’s eyes were the size of the moon as they screeched loud enough to be heard in another country.
All the employees jumped off their logs and dashed away from the campfire in every direction. Pops rolled off his and his giant head hit the ground. But, Benson managed to pull him up and they ran towards the house.
Mordecai and Margaret tumbled off their own bench, backwards, hitting the ground. But they didn’t linger for long before Mordecai grabbed the robin’s hand and they ran together.
They sprinted away from the campfire, panting and huffing, but they didn’t stop.
“What the heck was that?!” Margaret wailed.
“Holy crap!” Mordecai glanced behind them as they ran. “It’s The Hookman!”
“The Hookman isn’t real!”
“Then who the heck was that?”
Margaret stopped arguing then. They didn’t slow down until they were at the other end of the park. Luckily, they had stopped right next to a fountain with a surrounding bench. They plopped down, severely winded.
“Holy cow…” Margaret panted, “That was insane.”
“You can say that again.”
“That was insane.”
Mordecai’s head snapped to look at Margaret. Margaret met Mordecai’s puzzled eyes with a sly, knowing grin. Mordecai chuckled and she laughed along with him, until they were having a full blown fit.
“We just ran like scared little kids!” She realized in between fits of laughter.
“I know!” They were busting up, laughing in spite of their traumatizing experience.
They finally pulled it together, sobering from they’re uncontrollable amusement. Margaret sighed, looking up at the moon, and Mordecai followed her gaze. It was full and bright, with stars outlining it like Christmas lights. Margaret suddenly leaned against Mordecai’s chest, closing her eyes in content, and curling up on the bench. His heart sped up and could barely breathe. He wanted to say something, something to end the silence… but what?
He was very much relieved when Margaret finally broke the silence. “Thanks for letting Eileen and I stay with you.” She lifted up her head and looked him in the eye.
“It was n-no problem,” He managed.
“But really though, that was nice of you. You know how many people would really do something like that?” She didn’t stop to let him guess. “None. Like, no one.”
Mordecai couldn’t stop himself from blushing. He prayed his thanks that it was dark outside, hopefully Margaret couldn’t see.
“Margaret, I—” Mordecai stopped himself. They combination of Margaret’s gaze and their intimate closeness made it very difficult for him to stop himself from telling her. He had to stop himself from speaking like damming up a waterfall. His words would come gushing out if he wasn’t careful.
“You what?” She asked in all innocence.
“Um… Well, I— You know…”
“Go on, then.”She looked at him with puppy dog eyes.
“Margaret… I have to tell you… I, uh… I—”
“Oh, shut up,” She scoffed, grabbing his shoulders. “You don’t even have to say it.”
She pulled him to her and crushed their lips together. Mordecai gasped. Margaret kissed him for several moments before the neurons in his brain began to fire again and he kissed her back. His lips parted and he wrapped his arm around her waist, closing the gap between them on the bench. She wrapped her arms around him. Mordecai held the back of her head and pressed closer. Margaret tilted her head and sighed as they kissed even deeper.
Mordecai had always thought about what it would be like to kiss Margaret, but it was a million times more fantastic than he had thought. The coolness of the late summer night couldn’t even touch them; it was as if they were their own little sun. She smashed her lips against him with such fervor; he barely noticed when a moan escaped his lips.
Just when Mordecai thought two people couldn’t get any closer, their lips parted as they both gasped for air. Margaret stayed very still, continuing to take in what she just did. But Mordecai smiled against her lips and he couldn’t help himself. “Margaret?” He asked.
“Yeah?” She said breathlessly.
“You’re a good kisser.”

“They’re all gone, man.”
“Sure?”
“Yep… Running like babies.”
Thomas ripped the black cloak off, pulling on it after it got stuck on his horns. He threw it on the ground, and dropped the hook with a clang. He looked at the deserted campfire with satisfaction.
“MAN!” Muscle Man stood up. “That was incredible!” He slapped high fives with Thomas. “That had to be the greatest prank of the entire summer! Thanks a million, dude. I owe you one.”
“Don’t mention it Muscle Man, just remember it the next time you wanna pull one on me.”
“Oh please! You’re good, man! Plus, it’s way more fun to mess with Mordecai and Rigby when their chicks are around.” Muscle Man laughed deviously.
“Uh… Muscle Man?” Thomas asked, standing at the edge of the campfire clearing.
“What?”
“I think your prank kind of back-fired.”
“It what? Why?” Muscle Man walked over to the edge of the campfire and looked out just to see Mordecai and Margaret going at it like they were going to inhale each other.
“DANG IT!”

Regular Crack Chapter 9
~9th crack pairing: Benson and Mordecai~
"Glad you guys could join me before the crack of dawn." Benson said to his employees sitting on the steps. Everyone else looked pretty awake except Mordecai and Rigby, who SERIOUSLY looked like they needed coffee.
"Now, I couldn't help but overhear you all talking the other night about how your jobs aren't interesting enough and that at times, work can be a rut. So, I decided on something to help motivate All of you to work," He looked at Mordecai and Rigby as he said all. "You can each suggest a fun way you'd like to get your work done this week. Skips?"
"I wouldn't mind listening to my radio while

Regular Crack Chapter 4
~4th crack pairing: Mordecai and Rigby~
"Yeayuh!! Guess who got tickets?" Rigby happily waved them in the air as he came into the house.
Mordecai, who was watching TV, looked at Rigby. "Tickets? For what?"
"Dude! The fair's back in town! Instead of splurging on Butt Busters 2, I got us 2 tix for Saturday night!"
Mordecai somewhat had a blank face. "Dude, what are we, 8 again? We never go to the fair anymore. It's just gonna be the same old rides, same disgusting food, kids barfing all over the place, and let's not forget the old ladies working the fun houses." Mordecai shuddered at that memory. That horrible memory..
"Nah, man, it's supp

CHAPTER TEN: UNEXPECTED
Phineas' POV
I'm not sure how long I stood there staring into Isabella's eyes. Whenever I do, time just stops. Time started again when I heard the sound of someone clearing their throat. Isabella and I looked over to see Anastasia with her arms crossed. She was tapping her foot impatiently.
"Are you two gonna kiss or not?"
I could feel myself blush. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Isabella blushing as well. After we stared at Anastasia for awhile, she let out a huge sigh. She walked over back to her rock, and began to doodle. Isabella let out a laugh, then gave me a kiss. Afterwards, she looked over at Anast
